On 24.04.2026, another CMR Webinar from the "Migration and Cities" series, entitled "Outside the System? The Situation of Vulnerable Groups among Forced Migrants from Ukraine in Polish Cities in the Context of the Phasing-Out of Temporary Protection", was held online via Zoom. The webinar was conducted in Polish.

The event was co-organised by the Laboratory of Urban and Regional Migration Policies and the Migration Policies Research Unit at the Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw; the MigLab and the Institute of Sociology at Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin; the Department of Political Studies at the Institute of International Studies, SGH Warsaw School of Economics, together with the CIVICA Research Hub TRANSCONNECT; and the Union of Polish Metropolises.

The webinar brought together experts and practitioners working with forced migrants from Ukraine, including representatives of academia, NGOs, local government institutions and international organisations. Speakers included Dr Tomasz Sieniow (Institute for the Rule of Law Foundation; John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin; Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw), Vadym Leontyuk (Institute for the Rule of Law Foundation), Igor Lisin, MBA (Ukraine Foundation; Mapuj Pomoc Network Council), Dmytro Dymydyuk (Ukrainian House Foundation), Milena Kloczkowska (Homo Faber Association; John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin), Ludmiła Dymitrow (Information Point for Foreign Nationals in Kraków; Union of Polish Metropolises) and Anton Cherepenko (IOM Poland).

The discussion was co-moderated by Karolina Łukasiewicz (Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw), Marta Pachocka (SGH Warsaw School of Economics, Department of Political Studies, Institute of International Studies; Coordinator of CIVICA Research Hub TRANSCONNECT; Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw), Karolina Podgórska (Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin; Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw) and Ewa Cichocka (Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw).
