We warmly invite you to join our new monthly online CIVICA Transconnect Research Seminar Series: Displacement, governance and integration of Ukrainian forced migrants in Europe, exploring the forced migration of Ukrainians. Taking a multidisciplinary perspective, the series will examine the many dimensions of displacement, mobility integration of Ukrainian refugees, bringing together researchers and other interested participants to exchange knowledge and ideas.
The seminars will take place online once a month, from 12:00 to 14:00.
Each session will provide space for presentations, discussion, and the development of new research question and collaborations.
The seminar series is led by SSE within the CIVICA Research Hub TRANSCONNECT, in cooperation with all Hub partners.

This session presents key insights from the book on “Migration Governance in Central and Eastern European Cities Post-2015” (2026), examining how cities across the region have responded to rapidly changing migration dynamics since 2015. The co-editors will discuss comparative findings from nine cities, including the new CEELMiG Index, and reflect on what the CEE experience reveals about local and multilevel migration governance in times of crisis.
